Don’t settle for confusion and at the same time, don’t settle for less. We all have that one thing we want to be. Our goal. Sometimes, it is too heavy in our heart that we decide to tell a friend about it. It is not a bad thing to do but you need to ask yourself:
Am I telling the right person?
Is the person trying to make me feel that what I want is too big for me?
The person you told might not have evil intentions or plans to downgrade you. The person doesn’t just want you to get stressed or entangled with problems. But, the person is not just seeing things from your own perspective. He probably has a different purpose which is not making him to see what you want.
There is a saying that: show me your friend and I would tell you who you are.
Are you surrounded with people that can see through you? Do they understand you? Do they believe you?
That is why you need good friends who are interested in your vision (Optimists). You don’t need friends that would scare you or make you change your mind or get you confused or make you feel like your idea is “silly”. You need friends that would believe in you, work with you, think with you and have faith in your vision. You need friends that would stay when you are winning or not. You need friends that won’t give you the reason to regret your actions.
Don’t get confused. If they cannot see through you, try to make them see. But after trying and they still cannot see through you, cut them off! Surround yourself with people who are interested in your success. Never feel intimidated. Work to surprise the pessimist.
Dear LOML, don’t settle for less
